Each product is designed by Stephanie Drake, a graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. Products are produced in the heart of Scotland. A lot of love and care is taken over every item made, this is what gives the products their charm and individuality.
The upmost attention is given to finishing each item so that is it stylish and hardwearing.
I take a lot of pride in the design process; I think it is important to keep traditional craft skills alive. I believe it is important to buy British produce and keep enthusiasm in home grown design and manufacture.
Only the best quality materials are used. I test a number of resources before deciding on the final ones to use.
Merino wool is used in the Snoods, Cowls, and bobble hats: this material is finely crimped, soft, and has the perfect qualities for winter scarves. It keeps out the cold and is naturally breathable. Cotton Drill is used in the screen printed cushions, and the pad insert is made of hollow fibre.
Please be advised that the colours you see on your computer screen may differ slightly from the products when they arrive, unfortunately I cannot account for changes in saturation on differing monitor screens. All photographs have been taken in daylight to try and eliminate as much of this variability as possible.
As a self confessed perfectionist, I like to make sure I am one hundred percent happy with the look, feel, and fit of the products before offering them to others.
Before putting products to sale I have gone through a development phase of testing different patterns, colours, materials and sizes.
However, I would love to hear what you think. If you have any suggestions for further improvement – I am all ears.
From time to time products appear on the products page as ‘Sold Out’. To me this is wonderful news; to you it means you may not be able to purchase the scarf you would like right away.
Sometimes the scarves sell out quicker than I can make them. But rest assured, if it is sold out, I will be busy making more. If you would like an email update on when the item you want is back in stock then feel free to contact me/ follow on twitter for updates/ or check the page again soon.
If your order is placed before 4:30pm (M-F) I aim to get your purchase to the post office the same day. If your order is placed after this time, or over the weekend, then it will be posted the next working day.
Royal Mail standard delivery is used. If you would like recorded delivery please contact me for special arrangements or add the postage upgrade to your basket.
